PSC Recruitment 2018 – Forest Ranger Posts
Educational Qualification:
Applicants must have possess Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent examination in Science or Engineering of any recognized University with at least in one of the following subjects are Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Applications / Computer Science, Engineering (Agriculture / Chemical / Civil / Computer / Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical), Environmental Science, Forestry, Geography, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology.

Scale of Pay:
Eligible & selected candidates receive their salary scale of Rs. 22,000 – 87,000/- & grade pay of Rs. 10,300/- under the provision of Rules & other allowances as per Govt. norms.

Age Limit & Relaxation:
Applicants age limit must not less than 21 years or more than 43 years as on 01.01.2018. The upper age limit will be relaxed in the case of SC/ST categories candidates up to 05 years as per Rules.

Method of Selection:
Applicants are selected will be based on the written test, physical test, interview & medical examination. Candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear in a written examination after which they will be interviewed. Male / Female candidates must pass a walking test covering a distance of 25 km / 16 km within 4 hrs on foot respectively & a medical exam by the Medical Board & those candidates found fit in the above will be required to produce a health certificate signed by the Medical Board in the form prescribed in Article 49 of the Civil Service Regulation of the corresponding Rules in the supplementary rules testifying the candidate’s sound hearing & general physical fitness for rough outdoor work in the Forest Department & to the fact that the bears on his body the marks of successful vaccination.

1. Original Treasury Receipt Copy.
2. 02 copies of recent of Assam Public Service Commission.
3. Certificate of Age issued by respective Boards in HSLC or equivalent examination (self-attested copy).
4. Certificate & Marksheets of all educational qualification from HSLC onwards (self-attested copy).
5. Caste Certificate for candidates belonging to SC/STP/STH/OBC/MOBC from the appropriate authorities (self-attested copy).
6. Experience Certificate (where necessary) indicating the period of Service/experience with the date.
